THE FINDING OF EMPIRE
=======================================================================
Empire was first found by Númenor, later known as the God of the Lights and finally the God of Empire. This was thousands of years ago, and traces of the old civilizations can be found in many places throughout the land today. All was well, but a time came that eventually cleared Empire of all beings. Ages passed, until the land was found again. The Dark Lord Anubis came upon Empire after he had fled from his father's wrath. Black Plague was a terrible and merciless steed, and he hungered for power. Eventually Plague found his son, and with him he found a new Empire. Two islands, a gateway connecting them. The islands were massive, as was the gateway, taking days to travel through each landform. In this Empire many mystical and strange things could be found. There had been life here before, but many of the stories have never been uncovered. One island had begun to rot, and the land was charred from end to end. Volcanoes rose from the center, and the water was murky and dark. The other island, however, glowed with an enchanting light, as if some spell had been put upon it. Connected to the gateway were also two peninsulas, but Plague took no notice. He had already concieved the perfect plot against his son. Anubis's father took over this huge Empire, reigning over all else who lived there. Time went by, and other equines began to discover the lands. In secret, Anubis returned to his old homelands, and there he gathered three others. He told them of the new land he had found, and that Plague would need to be defeated. Together the four equines overthrew Black Plague, sending Anubis into victory.

THE ORIGINAL RULERS

After the age of Númenor, Black Plague was the first to hold power over Empire, but his reign was unsteady and ended in his murder. Anubis, the founder and true ruler of the lands, had taken over. He was helped by three others. Alanah, a mare of evil, became Anubis's queen. Kalormene, a Light lord, more pure than all others, became the Light King. And Paris, an enchanting mare of pure beauty, became Kalormene's queen. Even though the four equines helped in overthrowing Black Plague, it did not lessen their dislike for one another. Anubis and Alanah grew to hate Kalormene and Paris. Wars brewed between the two alliances, as they usually did, and victories and tradgedies occurred on both ends. Alanah eventually killed Paris, leaving Kalormene devastated and without a queen. A new mare, Windsong, became Light Queen for a time, before disappearing unexpectedly. Strange things began occurring everywhere. It was all the doing of Black Plague. Anubis, as well as the other equines, were stunned. Plague was so powerful that he came back from the dead. He was not entirely alive, for he could appear and disappear from sight. He corrupted the minds of many, and caused a large number of deaths. He impregnated every leading mare, including Alanah. She disappeared for a time, returning to give birth to the Dark heir. The filly, though, was not a filly at all. She was born a grown mare, and would later come to be called Hypnos. Empire had begun to fall apart. The Lights were without a queen. Neutrals had appeared, as did wolves. Leaving Anubis devastated and confused, Alanah had gone missing. It is still unknown whether she is alive or dead. Then, one very unfortunate day, Anubis was killed. He appeared as a spirit throughout the lands, assisting his Empire however he could. Time went by, and Empire was crumbling into what seemed to be its end. It was Kalormene's turn to disappear, chased away by evil minions, to what seemed to be his fate.

THE PAST WARS
=======================================================================
In the past years, quite a few wars have broken out. All of them have involved the Dark and Light alliances in the time of Anubis and Kalormene. The Battle of God's Prevail was won by Kalormene's army, causing Anubis and Alanah to retreat into their land for a time. In the much later years, another battle was held. The Battle of Double Path. This one proved unvictorious for both alliances. Other smaller battles had been fought in the past, but were not recorded. The two alliances are still at ends with each other, while the new alliance of the Neutrals hope for peace.

IMPORTANT HAPPENINGS
=======================================================================
In the well-remembered time, Empire had many firsts. Early in this age, Empire experienced the largest natural disaster ever recorded in history. In the length of five days, five different disasters occured: a tornado, hurricane, flood, brush fire, and earthquake. The Dark Spirits had warned Anubis of this, allowing him to make preparations and announce it to the rest of Empire's inhabitants.
On the most evil day of the century, during a time of war between the Darks and Lights, the Dark Queen, Alanah, killed the Light Queen, Paris, deep in the dungeons of The Staircase Downwards.
Wolves had always inhabited Empire, but they were beginning to grow in numbers, forming alliances and families. The wolves became an important part of the land, and with time different territories for them were found.
The birth of the first twins of Empire sparked much interest and talk among Empire's inhabitants. The Dark pairing of Farren and Icey Waters spawned the two foals, Keirah and Keiran.
The formation of the Neutral alliance was a large event in Empire's history. Neutral lands were discovered, and a King and Queen were appointed. The first King was Copper Cyanide, and the first Queen was Vella-Vyer.
The return of Black Plague, Anubis's father, caused much fear and suffering. Ever since Plague's murder, he has wanted revenge on his son, and to retake the Dark throne.
The birth of the Dark heir, Hypnos, caused great controversy. Alanah gave birth to her filly as any other mare has, but the foal was definitely out of the ordinary. She was born a full-grown mare, presumably the doing of Black Plague.
Alanah disappeared after foaling, and has not been seen since. The Dark alliance was then without a Queen.
The death of Anubis was one of the biggest shocks ever to occur in the land of Empire. After everything that had happened with Plague and the disappearance of his Queen, Anubis lost all hope. He would still appear as a spirit to those who needed his help.
Empire seemed to be falling to its doom. Kalormene had now disappeared, chased and presumably killed by Dark minions of Black Plague. Empire had lost all of its rulers.
The rising of Anubis, Númenor, and Ameer brought new hope to Empire. With ancient magic, they were brought back from the afterlife, sent here to rule over Empire for all eternity.
The banishment of Anubis was surrounded by uncontrollable controversy throughout the entire realm of Empire. Anubis wanted to take the land for himself, much like his father once did, but the old power of Númenor defeated him.
After much thought, Ameer returned to the lands he used to rule to care for them, leaving Númenor alone to rule Empire as he once did long ago.

THE ROYALS
=======================================================================
Anubis, Númenor, and Ameer. They were the Royals of Empire, brought back from the dead to protect their alliances. After Anubis died, he found both Númenor and Ameer in the afterlife. They helped him, and presented him with the power to appear as a spirit. Númenor was the one who first discovered Empire, thousands of years ago. Blessed with the powers of the Gods, he is the rightful Royal to Empire. Ameer was once the Lord of a large realm, years ago. He is rightfully titled 'The Peace-Keeper,' for his Neutral attributes and mystical abilities enabled him to protect the alliance of the undecided. Anubis was then more powerful than ever before, and he was willing do whatever he needed to protect the Dark realm of which he was previously King. Empire was in need of dire help, so the three Lords rose from the dead to watch over their alliances. The Lords were not fully alive, though they were not considered to be dead either. The three ruled for a time, but soon one of them became a traitor. Anubis plotted to overthrow both Númenor and Ameer to take Empire for himself. Much like his father, Black Plague, Anubis became power-hungry and very dangerous to all who lived in the realm. Númenor was the original finder of Empire, and therefore had no intention of leaving it for Anubis to destroy. The two Gods battled, their power shaking the earth. Númenor, being wiser and more powerful, won the battle, banishing Anubis from the land forever. Shortly after this huge event, Ameer received a calling from the lands he ruled while he was alive, to return to them and rule once again. He did, and therefore Númenor once again became the one ruler and God of Empire.
